This page provides scientific data and results of the Special Research Project No. 261 (SFB 261) funded by the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG).

Individual queries on the SFB 261 data inventory should be made with the PANGAEA search engine. Any keyword, which is related to the metainformation of a data set, can be used (name, title, parameter etc). The geographical area of interest can be defined by coordinates. The rules for combining keywords follows those of other search engines (like Google, see help).

As an example on how to find data from references, published in a certain journal or book, Use of Proxies was used to provide a list of tables published in Use of Proxies in Paleoceanography.
